Nathan spent his early years in Salt Lake City and on the island of Pohnpei in Micronesia before moving to Walla Walla, Washington, where he attended middle and high school. He began his legal career with a major Pacific Northwest law firm, gaining early experience in complex litigation and learning the value of precision, preparation, and teamwork. After several years in that environment, he chose to pursue a more independent path-working as a contract attorney for law firms and institutional clients before establishing Viavant Law PLLC.

Nathan earned his law degree cum laude from Tulane University in New Orleans, where he served as a senior member of the Tulane Journal of International and Comparative Law. He also holds a master’s degree in policy studies from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Haverford College in Haverford, Pennsylvania. His background in law, policy, and government continues to inform his thoughtful and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.

Outside of work, Nathan enjoys life with his partner and her kids, their two dogs, and a growing collection of plants, pottery projects, and garden experiments.
